International Disassembly Manual for Motor Caravans
The online version of the manufacturer-independent dismantling manual for motor caravans serves as a helpful source for recyclers and disposal companies.
Motor caravans - just like passenger cars - can be returned free of charge by the last owners as end-of-life vehicles. The return rate for motor caravans is practically non-existent. They continue to have a high value even after a long period of use. Motor caravans are built on commercial vehicle chassis that are designed for significant mileage, which is usually not achieved in private use for holiday purposes.
Motor caravan manufacturers are also obliged to formulate dismantling instructions with information on the safe, economical and environmentally friendly disposal of end-of-life vehicles for each vehicle put into circulation and to make these available at the time of vehicle recycling.
The CIVD has therefore developed its own manufacturer-independent dismantling manual based on the International Dismantling Information System (IDIS) used by the automotive industry. It is available to all recyclers and disposal companies worldwide in almost 30 languages and can be called up online at any time.
